About

Codema is Dublin’s Energy Agency and was founded in 1997 as a not-for-profit limited company. We are committed to working with Dublin’s Local Authorities on improving the energy efficiency of public buildings in order to reduce the city’s CO2 emissions and achieve the ambitious climate and energy targets known as “20-20-20” targets.

What are we looking for?

Energy Manager: An enthusiastic team worker, with an eagerness to learn and who shares Codema’s values, A person who has a good understanding of ISO 50001, experience in energy auditing and excellent interpersonal skills.

Senior Energy Manager: A passionate, collaborative and driven leader, who has worked in a similar position and whose values align with our vision and mission. A networker with excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills and the ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders. An experienced engineer or manager who has worked in the energy sector and with a broad knowledge of public sector obligations and national and EU energy efficiency and carbon reduction targets

What the team had to say!

Training up and settling into a graduate role was always going to be difficult remotely, as it can be difficult to really engage with people over video calls and there’s no way of just asking a simple 2 second question to the person next to you. All this being said however, help was made available at Codema at all times and the easy-going nature of people really made it simple to integrate. The work-life balance in the office is very much something that’s encouraged, with the same trust being both given and received, thus giving the employees that bit of freedom that’s really appreciated.

 

One big regret I have is that throughout this pandemic I’ve been unable to work in the vibrantly located office in Temple Bar, thus being unable to really get the full experience but something I hope one-day I can be a part of. I’ve enjoyed every minute of my time with Codema and I’d have no problem recommending them to anyone.

What you can expect from us?

A candidate will work with a dedicated team who are passionate about what we do. Codema is committed to maintaining and enhancing a good working environment and has a number of initiatives in place to support the wellbeing of our staff and help them to achieve their work goals and a healthy work-life balance. Such initiatives include flexible working hours, blended working arrangements, an Employee Assistance Programme, personal development, mentoring and training opportunities. Codema will also be taking part in the national 4-day week pilot commencing in 2022.
