John Riordan, Chairman, Grow Remote
John is the Chairman of Grow Remote, an organisation focused on remote work. Previously, he held the position of Director of Support at Shopify, where he provided leadership and guidance to various customer support teams across multiple countries, including Ireland, Lithuania, Sweden, Canada, the Philippines, Japan, and China. Throughout his career, John has been a strong advocate for remote work and has championed this business model in the United States, United Kingdom, and Ireland for over two decades.
In addition to his role at Shopify, John has also served as Chairman of Shopify International Ltd. and actively participates on the board of Sanctuary Runners, the IRFU Commercial & Marketing committee, and several technology start-ups. Prior to his tenure at Shopify, John gained valuable experience working for renowned companies such as Apple, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Arise Virtual Solutions, and US Airways, primarily in the United States.
